Roger K. Evans, Attorney
Roger K. Evans is an experienced attorney with over 40 years of experience representing individuals, families, farmers, ranchers, and businesses in real estate, probate, will and trust administration, estate planning, construction and business matters. Mr. Evans has extensive trial experience, with both jury and non-jury trials in federal and state courts, in addition to arbitrations and mediations when litigation is necessary.
Mr. Evans is a member of the Marion County Bar Association and the Oregon State Bar Association as well as Oregon State Bar sections concerning Construction Law, Elder Law, Estate Planning and Administration, Litigation, and Real Estate and Land Use. Mr. Evans is licensed to practice in Oregon state courts and Federal U.S. District Court, and is appointed to serve as an arbitrator for various civil cases in Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties.
Mr. Evans lives in Salem, Oregon with his wife and his two children. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys camping, snow and water skiing, riding dirt bikes and mountain bikes, as well as hiking.
Marilyn Freeburn, Legal Assistant
Ms. Freeburn has over 40 years of experience as a legal assistant in the Salem area. Ms. Freeburn’s legal experience includes assisting in the areas of trusts, wills, probate, real estate, and business matters. Ms. Freeburn works closely with our clients in the organization and preparation of documents, case management, and document review, resulting in greater efficiency and lower fees for our clients.
Gabriel W. Taylor, Legal Intern
Mr. Taylor is a law student at Willamette University, where he is completing his third and final year as a J.D. candidate. Mr. Taylor assists clients in business formation, real estate transactions, estate planning, and probate and trust administration.
Upon graduating from high school, Mr. Taylor began his academic and athletic career at the University of Portland, where he played on the men’s basketball team for three seasons and was a two-time West Coast Conference All-Academic Team honoree. Upon completing his third year at University of Portland, Mr. Taylor transferred to California Baptist University, where he graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration and used his final year of athletic eligibility. After graduation, Mr. Taylor continued his education at George Fox University, where he received a Masters in Business Administration.
Mr. Taylor was born and raised in Salem and lived in the area for ten years before moving with his family to Newberg. In his spare time, Mr. Taylor enjoys boating, working outside, and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Taylor will take the Oregon State Bar Examination in July 2022.
